Paper porcelain, pigments, glaze, lustre, plexiglass, epoxy resin, hand-building.
In my work "Silentium" I try to slow down the passage of time and allow myself to be "here and now" in the present moment. I invite the viewer to pause life and experience the silence where everything stops and only oneself, one can hear and see, one's feelings and one's true desires.
I immerse myself in a long creative process in order not to lose myself in the endless pursuit of happiness and success in the big city. In the “Silentium” project I enjoy meditating in the process of creation: I roll out thin sheets of paper porcelain, cut into pieces (as if taking thoughts apart), bend them into a momentary shape (making changes), give them colour (filling them with new meaning) or leave them untouched and clean as a white sheet (space for the new). And when everything is ready and reinterpreted, I fire and reassemble it piece by piece into a whole.
“Silentium” thus becomes the point at which everyone can slow down.
